What Is Included in a Typical AC Tune Up Service?

A typical AC tune-up from Clark Heating and Cooling includes a preventive 22-point inspection, testing, and cleaning of key cooling components to restore safe, efficient operation. The visit targets performance, airflow, electrical safety, and drainage so emerging issues are found early. Members can schedule Spring or Fall tune-ups as part of our maintenance plans with bundled repair and IAQ discounts. We perform this work for homeowners throughout the West Valley and often service Avondale homes.

• A spring tune-up typically covers:
• Check refrigerant level, amperage, and temperature split
• Verify and adjust thermostat
• Inspect wiring, connections, contactors, capacitors, and relays
• Inspect evaporator coil and drain pan
• Rinse condenser coils with water
• Clear condensate drain line with nitrogen or vacuum
• Inspect outdoor disconnect
• Inspect motor bearings, fan blade, and blower wheel
• Inspect compressor at startup

Replace your air filter as directed and avoid running the AC if the drain is clogged or ice forms on the lines.
Updated: 2026-04-03
Need help in Avondale, AZ? Call (602) 793-2477 or book online. "My A/C maintenance revealed several problems that were quickly fixed!" — Dolly M.
